15 – Banned Breeds

Banned Breeds and XL Bullies

Due to the changes in government legislation, we have updated the conditions of use for the XL Bully breed. Before booking a session at Locko Bark please ensure you can fulfil the following requirements:

  • The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until in the exercise field and the gate is securely shut.
  • The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate and leaving the field.
  • The dog handler ratio is 1:1.
  • The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is available and can be provided to us in the event of an incident.
  • A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is available and can be provided to us in the event of an incident.
  • The dog is neutered in line with government rules.
  • The dog is micro chipped.

If your household has more than 1 dog, you can use the field together as long as the banned breed has its own handler and the other dogs are supervised with another member of your household. If there are multiple banned breeds within your household, each must have their own handler.
